Membership terms — Smoke Signals Network
These terms govern membership of the Smoke Signals Network ("the Club," "we," "us"). The Club is run informally and is not a registered legal entity or trading name — membership fees are collected directly by the person(s) organising the Club. By submitting a membership application or paying any fee to the Club, you agree to these terms.
1. What membership is
Membership provides access to the Club's community, events, meetups, and educational content, and use of member spaces where applicable. Membership is a subscription for club access. Membership does not include, and payment of any fee does not entitle a member to, any cannabis product or other good. Nothing on this site, in these terms, or in any club communication should be read as an offer to sell cannabis or any controlled substance.
2. Eligibility
Members must be 18 years or older. By applying, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
All applications are reviewed individually. The Club may decline any application at its discretion.
3. Fees and billing
- A once-off joining fee of R50 is payable on approval of your application. This fee is non-refundable.
- A recurring membership fee of R50 is billed monthly for as long as membership continues.
- Fees are billed in advance. There is no credit or deferred payment.
- If a recurring payment fails, membership may be suspended until the outstanding fee is paid.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your membership at any time (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy for details). Cancelling stops future billing; it does not refund fees already paid.
5. Member conduct
- What happens within the Club stays within the Club. Discretion is a condition of membership.
- Serious or repeated breaches of these terms may result in membership being terminated without refund.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued membership after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
